Yes - that was only the first leg on a 772 - BLR-SIN.
The second leg on a 773ER just got over, but I've not had the chance to upload the pics yet.
The 3rd leg on the 773ER is about to start (ICN-SFO).
WIll post all the pics when online next in SFO. |

Brilliant Nimish- looks like an amazing trip.
The new 77W layout of SQ looks.... what can I say… going by your pics they smashed the current bar and set even higher standards.
Waiting for the return trip pics! _________________ eP007 |

Nice TR nimish.. BLR international departure seems to be a big mess.. but i guess its part of the security beef up around republic day. I was flying out of DEL last week and it was an horrific experience.. there were serpentines queues at every possible place!! ...
Thx to the SQ IFE I am glad tht u didnt hv to tolerate the Mistress of Spices.. amazingly the same movie was shown on my OS flight from VIE to TLV!! drop down screens , no IFE
Doesnt Juhu runway have JUHU painted on it at one end?!.. remember seeing tht during a take off from BOM.. |

Good news for BLR flyers with SQ increasing SIN-BLR to daily & upgrading it to a 777-300 on all days.
SQ serves the best Indian Vegetarian food out of SFO & nothing can beat the service on SQ 16 & SQ 1.
I for myself would'nt mind the 8 hour layover at Changi on return just for the experience.

Service is fabulous on pretty much most SQ flights, on my recent flight (SQ503 + SQ16), I always requested for a rum+coke, and had the drink delivered to me all 4 times without fail!
I don't know about AVML - I never take that meal option. But the standard food and presentation is great (even in economy)! |

I've changed my return sector seats to Aisle, so unfortunately won't be able to click any pics while taxiing. I found being on the Window seat a real pain - since I drink tons of water and need to frequently empty my bladder! Much prefer a window on a 330/340 - where it's easy to jump over 1 person.
OLCI (on line check in) was pretty weird on SQ, it failed for the first few hours with some silly error message, so I called SQ support. They said they can't do anything about it and I should check in at the airport. Then when I tried in the evening, it worked fine and I was able to select my seats.
I'm finally on seat 42H on the first hop - click here for seat map: https://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_UK/images/company_info/eot/fleet_info/77W/B777_300ER.gif
I'm on seat 32D on the second hop - click here for seat map: https://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_UK/images/company_info/eot/fleet_info/773/B777-300.gif |

OK - the information is on the seat maps! Yes - both J and F have 1-2-1 combination - though the F has more legroom and more privacy. |

avbuff - SQ flies 77W only on long haul routes. 773 is for short haul sectors like BOM/BLR etc. So you'll be unlikely to see the 77W on BOM-SIN, and it's not scheduled for SIN-LAX either. Maybe you fly to SFO and then connect to LAX from there |

Good news - managed to get an exit row Window seat (31K) at the airport - so meets both my objectives. Only problem is that it's over the wing!
The check-in clerk was really a b***h, asked me to go the United RCC (lounge) instead of the SQ SKL! When I asked her why - she said the flight was full so the lounge would be crowded. I just said OK, and walked into the SKL and it's still empty 15 minutes before boarding... Imagine the horrors of the RCC - limited drinks, no food, no wireless, huge crowds etc! |

Nice pics Nimish, did take notice of the Indian Veg meal.
Was also intrigued by the LH Bangalore Express.
No doubt LH gets you fastest to BLR, I presume if the Bangalore Express title is a misnomer for LH because, me for one beleives the share of BLR pax (biz+vfr) on SQ 1 / SQ 16 & that of SFO pax on SQ 502 / SQ 503 is significant & soaring to be accounted for in the wake of fresh capacity infusion.
So, why not crown the SQ service with suitable sobriquets like
Bay Express
Silicon Interchange
Tech Commute
Techjet
Geek Crossover
Tech Shuttle
I also wonder at people cribbing at singapore & changi which are excellent transit points to rest & releive stress off a 14 hour trans-pac flight & refreshed for the connecting flight to India. Changi is a huge cry from the cattle sheds of FRA, LHR & CDG that are used by LH,BA & AF, not to mention the soccer stadium airports of DFW, ORD, ATL in North America.

Hi Megatop - here's the story behind the term "Bangalore Express"
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/business/16641211.htm
This was in one of the local papers in the Bay area, and though the article is very hyped in many ways, it's also true in many ways. Especially for folks from the bay, there's a strong preference to LH (compared to SQ), due to the dislike of the 9 hour layover in SIN. |
