Nice, detailed report. The Y Class dinner seemed substantial enough (although the main looked like leftovers from last year found at the back of the fridge). The overall experience (other than the novelty of flying the 748) seemed uncomfortable and dismal. |

This is true....

....this is truer. Perhaps the most accurate description I can give to the shocker of a meal onboard LH!

This surely one flight that I do not want to relive any time soon... A less than stellar experience, but trust me when I tell you United managed to reach new lows
Regards

JB: the level of detail you have gone into, just suggests how much of the excitement that you went though, to get your first B748 flight, and sharing this with us, makes us also soak in the same excitement. This is the magic effect of your words, pictures and descriptions. Very vivid, indeed!
What lovely wing shots, after all the spotting pictures from ORD!
And for a change, an LH Y meal looks reasonably fine in terms of quantity.
The galley: they simply pour OJ into glasses and leave them there? That is odd.
Overall the crew experience seems rather bad.
`Breakfast'? This is an apology of one. On Air India, a breakfast is a complete meal, and even a snack on a domestic flight is more attractive, filling, as well as tasty. Not even a hot beverage? And LH call it breakfast?
Thanks once again for sharing this with us: we hope to read about your better experience on board the A380 to India!
Cheers, Sumantra. |

I was excited for this trip ever since I was boarding AF191 at BLR - my summer trip back home was booked, and LH's B747-8i was parked at the gate right beside! I am happy that you enjoyed this trip report Thank you for reading!

And once again, thank you very much, sir!

While it looked alright in terms of quantity, the quality was a different story, basically making it inedible

This was very baffling to me too, sir.

Apologies - I did not take a tea or coffee, just to cut down on caffeine and get some rest in Frankfurt. Had I been awake, I would've been miserable! This is pretty standard affair on TATL breakfasts I suppose, but that being said I highlighted KLM's much better offering on a similar flight.

And so you did!
