It is nice to hear from you, Balagopal, after quite a long time.
- The new terminal at TRV looks quite nice. I have only visited TRV once, that too quite long back, in March, 2008, when the old terminals were in place. I have experienced both the international part, as well as the domestic part.
- It looks quite spacious, and it is nice to have a large capacity, catering to future loads. Are there enough power ports in the waiting area? The courtsey phone is a nice touch! This used to be there at DEL IGI T1 too, but was taken out in the mid 2000s.
- Inline baggage check-in is absent at quite a few new terminals, TRV is no exception. IDR, IXM, for instance, (with BHO and PNQ also perhaps, and NAG perhaps not, I do not seem to remember this too well). - is this a general trend for airports apart from DEL/BOM, and a few others, perhaps? There does not seem to be any correlation with whether the airport handles international flights or not.
- Sorry to hear about your baggage fiasco - how did MI/SQ handle this? Can you describe this in detail?
Thanks for sharing this report with us, and we look forward to your putting down the other parts of this trip as well, hopefully soon!
Cheers, Sumantra. |

Hey, great TR. I really enjoyed reading it. There are not many TRs covering Keraline airports.
There are just 3 gates at TRV, correct? During rush hour, are any parking bays used?
I have to agree on many things you say, MI is a good airline, but not the best in my opinion. _________________ India's first HD Video Trip Report Channel : www.youtube.com/Theairplaneguy4ever |

Nice report Bala - thanks for posting. This MI not being a part of *A is a royal pain in the butt - esp when the frikkin ticket prices are the same as mainline SQ. I try my best to avoid MI, but sometimes there's no choice, even ex-BLR. _________________ We miss you Nalini! |

Nice TR.
I have never seen the international terminal from the inside, it has a hint of BOM and BLR in it. Looks ok, but big enough to not be bursting after 2 years so that's a plus. _________________ eP007 |
