Kerala’s first pilot training centre in the private sector, the Cochin Flight Academy, has started functioning here, says a UNI report.
Captain Sooraj Jose, managing director of the Academy, has said that 20 students will be chosen for the first batch to undergo training for a year. They will have to appear for a written test, an interview and a medical test. The minimum qualification is ten plus two, he said.
Theory classes will be held in Kochi while practical training will be given at Salem airport.
Jose said the academy had decided to purchase five Cessna-172 aircraft from Epic Aviation Inc. in Florida, USA. An agreement in this connection was signed between him and Daniel Perna, President and Chief Executive Officer of Epic Aviation Inc. USA here this morning, Jose said. |

Epic Aviation is right near me, it's in New Smyrna
I rent planes from there when I fly for fun with friends..... Good to hear that 5 of their aircrafts are going to India. _________________ eP007 |
