It's now available for pre-order on Nick's website, no pic from him yet though. |

Which one are you talking about here? The 9W 737?
The KF A380 has been in the states for a while. Nick sent one to me a few weeks ago I think. |

Was talking about the AI 744 from AV400 - the one we didn't know if & when was gonna be released. It's on Nick's website under 'Future releases'.
U sure Nick has the IT A380 out ? Don't see it on his website. |

Oh yah, I guess AV400 does eventually make what they announce, just that it takes so long to hit the US market. I've noticed they're in HK for quite a while before coming here. That's kinda odd since they are distributed by the same people as Gemini and Phoenix.
As for the IT A380, not sure why it's not on his site unless it's sold out. I know I got mine. Was there a second version? Now I gotta check if mine has a reg on it.
EDIT: Checked, yep, just as you have it pictured above. Did you have it on pre-order with Nick? |

Nope, I did not - will ask him if he has some in stock when I order the AV400. Is it a pretty bird, in your opinion ? |

It's apparently sold under the Hogan name, but it's from the Herpa stable. Dunno why the Herpa website does not show it. I found it strange that it's marked as a Hogan model, given that it's in 1:500 & is die-cast. It comes with a stand (similar to the new Schabak models, now re-branded as Schuco). Heck, perhaps the stand has something to do with models being sold under a different banner
The wings900 database shows 4 price updates, so I guess it is available, most likely in Europe.

Yep, they did a nice job. Phoenix has an excellent A380 mold so that helps too. A shame the way things are going the real bird may never fly. |

Like I'd said ... it might end up as a 'fantasy model' !! |

Couple of new pics of the AV400 VT-AIS. Like the Dragon model, I don't see the name "Sanchi" on it.

Sweet - I was hoping to see an AI 319/320/321. Being an AV400 product, it might well be a while before we this on the shelves. |

Whoa, didn't notice that 1:400 A321. Hopefully that and the 9W 737 become reality.
The AV400 747 looks good as expected. Except for that black corogard, hopefully that's just the angle. |

Hmm guess it's gonna be black...same problem that plagued AeroClassics/Big Bird models from that factory. Thought they had it sorted out. Oh well, I'll still buy it. |

AeroClassics doesn't have an A310 mold, might have to wait for Gemini Jets for that one. They'll probably do one in new colors first if they do it at all. |

Nope - no AI 743M in 1:400 on the horizon .... as of now, the next AI model in 1:400 seems to be the Airbus A321 from Aviation400; though it may be a while given their modus operandi. |

If anyone makes the 743 it will probably be Dragon or Phoenix. The Phoenix mold is terrible though...though that wouldn't stop me. |

Here is one I created myself - I bought a DC-3 in USAF colors, & used silver spray paint to try & create a model of AI's DC-3 VT-CGP. Needless to say, it didn't come out too good!! I used 1980s vintage AI "Fragile" stickers to get the Air India titles from. Oh well - it was fun doing it. So here it is, not sure of the scale, though!
1:400 scale
Aeroclassics Indian Airlines Airbus A300 VT-EVD
And for good measure, here is the Aeroclassics IC A300 in 1:400 scale. Though not AI, she sits with the rest of my AI models - nostalgia perhaps!
And the one with the 50th Anniversary titles
